Color is what drives my art. I can see a full rainbow of colors looking across a brown desert. The color in sand and stones, rusted metal, walls of an old building, and marks people leave behind influence my choice of colors, blending bold hues with muted tones. Then there is texture; together with color; to me it is magic. I like the abstract but with structure. I see the tension between structure and the forces of nature. A truck tire print in snow and mud inspire me. I work in a number of mediums including print making and stone and glass sculpture. I’m not sure which direction my art will take me. That is one of the exciting things I love about fine art.
